Abstract

Research and development in the area of new nanomaterials is advancing rapidly. Due to the chance of obtaining unique physicochemical properties nanomaterials are seen as having an enormous economic potential. However, there are unanswered questions about the impacts of nanoparticles and nanoproducts on human health and the environment. Due to concerns over nanomaterial risks, there has been an increase in safety research. The present paper provides a short summary of the published findings.

Keywords

nanomaterials; nanoparticles; nanotechnology; risk; toxicity
