Abstract

The paper presents latest developments in the field of personal protective equipment for welders and operators in the thermal cutting of metals. Described is a new top-protective glass based on liquid crystals, contemporary respiratory systems and selective protection of hearing. The paper also explores the partial significance and full technical characteristics of these personal protective equipment items. Stated are the humanitarian and economic reasons for a faster introduction of the latest achievements in as many critical jobs as possible in the welding technology.
