Geovisualization Improvements for Cartographic Presentation in PDA

Abstract

Work shows proposals and testing of geovisualization improvements for city plan with use of PDA. Cartographic geovisualization is limited with imperfections such devices, so the presentations are designed by means of different potential user (tourist pedestrian) scenarios. Combination of different presentation techniques gives proposal for implementation in PDA, and that proposal is tested with real tourist and real situations. Research results has shown tourist satisfaction and gave answers on numerous questions regarding geovisualization on small PDA screens.
