Abstract

Light pollution in the Republic of Croatia is analyzed using a statistical model based on the Walker's law. The results have been verified by measurement of light pollution on some twenty sites. They show that the entire Croatian territory is at least moderately polluted by light, with the exception of several islands and some areas in Lika and Gorski kotar. An overview of prevailing Croatian regulations relating to light pollution is also given.
