Spacial Practises in Poems of Gustav Krklec

Ivana Drenjančević ; Faculty of philosophy in Zagreb

Abstract

This article, through chosen examples of Gustav Krklec’s poems, stud- ies the ways in which lyrical poets relate to town spaces. Walking through town and overlooking it, as two types of special practices, i.e. the two key ways to control the space, is in the centre of this article’s interest. Standing still of lyrical poets and their exceptional interest in spaces above town is related to anti-modern starting points in notional sense, and with the wish that the texture of town is disciplined through monitoring.
