Abstract

High blood pressure is very prevalent worldwide, as well as vitamin D
deficiency. There are several observation data that support the concept that vitamin D is involved in pathogenesis of hypertension. Also some clinical date demonstrate positive effect of vitamin D therapy on hypertension. In this review epidemiological date will be presented and biological mechanism of vitamin D effect on blood pressure will be explained.
