Abstract

Tegulae with stamps from the Regional Museum in Benkovac found at the wider area of Benkovac are analyzed in this article. They were found at nine archaeological sites. Catalogue and statistical review show that most of the finds originate from northern Adriaticthe region of the Po Delta and Aquileia. Tegulae with military stamps of Legio VIII are also quite numerous. Three stamps that have not been known previously at the eastern Adriatic coast were also found. All analyzed finds point to intensive trade connections between northern Dalmatia and the northern Adriatic region.
