Abstract

Th e article contains a breakdown of the problems involved
in the relationship between the Late Bronze Age Barice-
Gređani group and the cultural phenomena in the territory
of the Sava River Valley thus far ascribed to the Early
and Late Bronze Age. Th e thus-far published and unpublished
pottery fi nds attributed to the “Bebrina-type Hatvan
culture”, the “Brod culture” and the “Posavina culture” are
brought together and redefi ned, and reinterpreted as an integral
component of the Barice-Gređani group and chronologically
classifi ed to the early phase of the Late Bronze Age.
