Abstract
The periodical ichthyological researches of some waterflows in the area of Lovinac and Gračac in Lika were done during 1980 and 1981. The research was made on seven specific localities in waterfiows of Banica, Suvaja, Opsenica, Ričica, Krivak and Otuča.
The qualitative and quantitative state of fish fauna in each waterflow (tables 1 and 2), the total ichthyomass with the annual mass increments (table 3) and the data on presence, lengths and masses of the cryfish (table 4) were determined.
In the fishery sense the waterflows under research can be characterized as altitude salmonid waters and karst submerging waters.
These waters are inhabited by Salmo trutta m. fario, Paraphoxinus croaticus, Gobio gobio, Cobitis taenia and Paraphoxinus ghetaldi.
The ichthyomass of Ričica was 37,4 kgha-1, of Krivak 58 kgha-1, Banica 26 kgha-1 and Suvaja 11,6 kgha-1.
The river-basin of Ričica was inhabited by cryfish. In the river-basin of Opsenica only the presence of Salmo trutta m. fario was found (52,2 kgha-1). Due to overpopulation, these fish were growing slowly. The crayfish were registered.
Otuča was also monocultural water, where the ichthyomass of Salmo trutta m. fario was 20 kgha-1. The crayfish were not found, either.
