Abstract

Majority of our researches but also other recent studies have
shown that new media, that is Internet, are becoming more significant as
a resource of information for journalists and also public especially when
it comes to search for specific information that could help in practical
decision making and solving problems. Podcasts, audiovisual
possibilities, blogs, forums and other formats alike, gave the Internet a
power to secure science a more ''comfortable place for living''. That
reflected on journalists' work routine considering their selection of
sources of information and communication preferences and brought key
changes to journalists' profession. In this paper, results of survey
amongst Croatian science journalists will be presented emphasizing their
use and evaluation of resources of information as well as practise and
attitudes towards the Internet as a resource of science information.
