Abstract

The article primarily endeavours to enlighten John Hick's eschatology, at the same time problematizing its pluralistic characteristics in the context of religious problems and perspectives. At the same time it explains Hick's perception of God as the Real and soteriological feature of religions that consider salvation, that is liberation, as transformation. Seen that way transformation implies the shift from selfishness, that is, self-centeredness to Reality-centeredness. The work Death and Eternal Life enlightens Hick's eschatological thought and his approach to eschatology within which theology of death is specially emphasized.
