Structural Dimensions of the Police Organization

Abstract
A successful organization is based on an adequate organizational structure. It refers equally to the police organizations in general. Each organizational structure can be judged by the extend to which it is developed and by the parts it consists of, which is to be considered a complex dimension within the structure, as well as by the extend to which its parts are linked together determining the level of centralization of the organizational structure. The structure can also be determined by the time period it is being changed respectively by its stability. Different organizations display a set of relatively firrn characteristics as the part of their definition and a set of relatively changeable elements being the product of their development.
