Abstract

During a period of five months BIS CONDOR Intelligent was used for comparison and autoidentification of bullets flred from knovvn different kind of firearms from our collection in three different calibers: .22 long rifle, 7,65 mm Browning and 9 mm Luger. Bullets were scanned in two different modes. After scanning autoidentincation procedure was performed within different firearms systems and evaluation of the results of autoidentification was done. In order to test the system in "real" casevvork and see the practical valne of the system different "unknown" samples of bullets were given to three experts and they were asked to identify the firearms system and the firearms that were used to fire the "unknown" samples.
