PUBLIC INTEREST OF CROATIA IN THE ELECTRIC ENERGY SECTOR AFTER COMING INTO FORCE OF THE EU THIRD PACKAGE OF ENERGY LEGISLATION

Abstract
This paper deals with the restructuring of the HEP Group under influence of the EU Third package of energy legislation, and furthermore it deals with the necessary electricity market liberalization and deregulation of the electricity sector in the Republic of Croatia. On this subject the author lists the chronology of important events in Croatia and draws conclusions about the restructuring of the HEP Group. He describes what has been done on their implementation so far and indicates the public (national) interest in relation to the HEP Group, suggesting the HEP Group restructuring and operation.
