Abstract

In view of the results of the research of philosophical esthetical historiography, as well as the authoress' own long-lasting research into Petrić's esthetical poeticological theories, the authoress expounds the principles of Petrić's esthetical reflection in two sections (I A Survey of the Past Research and the Future Tasks; II From a School of Thought to the Freedom of Thought), reviewing them in their spiritual-historical and philosophical coo• texts, and in the context of Petrić's entire philosophy.
Commenting on the central nations of Petrić's philosophical-esthetical vocabulary (beautiful, miraculolls, allegorical, poetical creation, poetical enthusiasm, invention, poetical universality, freedom, concetto, etc.), the authoress points at the significance and the role of Petrić's philosophy of art, to the concordance of Petrić's esthetical-poetical reflection with art (literature, painting) of his and the following centuries, as well as to its topicality in the history of European and Croatian esthetical thought.
