Abstract

Some of the recent research into Frane Petrić's work point at possible influences or at least similiarities of his world-view with those of Nichoias Cusanus and his contemporary Giordano Bruno. The origins of the analogies among their philosophical systems are in the Neo-Platonic tradition.
The above also applies to the notion of infinity. basic in the three phi1osophers' interpretations of the world. Although the comparative analysis of their most important works, focusing on the notion of infinity, has indicated generally similar views (especially concerning the ontotheological conditions for the introduction of the notion into an interpretation of the world), it has also revealed certain differences evident mostly in the three philosophers' world-models.
