Abstract

The importance of children motivation and the effects of certain incentives on children’s behaviour, are some of the issues discussed in this article. The reasearch was carried out on the sample of 30 children aged four to six in order to establish, considering their age and gender, the effects of both positive and negative incentives on children’s behaviour. The results undoubtedly indicate that positive incentives have significantly greater influence on children’s behaviour than the negative ones, especilally on the four to six-year-olds.
