Abstract
The sample of this research encloses 44 boys, aged 10 to 12. The children were interviewed and the offered answers were of closed type. In this research the frequency of weekly media consumption has been investigated including the media infl uence on children’s inactivity. The results have shown that that the majority of children have access to various media devices. Children use television in their everyday life signifi cantly more
than other media. The average time children spend in media interaction is 3.86 hours a day. The study has also shown that children prefer media entertainment as opposed to physical activity - they spend 1.84 hours a day more on media entertainment than on classical outdoor games.
