Abstract

The role of the pre-school psychologist is predominantly preventive. The work and the tasks of the pre-school psychologist include a large number of different activities done in cooperation with many other employees in the kindergarten, as well as some unavoidable tasks related to the pre-school children themselves. The use of computer undoubtedly improved the quality of work in many areas in the last fi fty years, thus there is no reason to doubt that it will
bear the same signifi cance in the work of pre-school psychologist. The aim of this research was to consider some characteristics of using computer in the work of pre-psychologists. Subjects of the research were 28 pre-school psychologists from Zagreb and the Zagreb County, 27 female and 1 male. The applied questionnaire was Cyberpsy, was made of 12 questions (and 71 variables). The given results support the hypothesis that computer makes psychologist’s work
easier. It enables him to work with better quality and on a larger-scale, in different areas of his work. It enables him also to use a variety of working methods,
and gives him a more frequent feeling of competence, both as an individual and as an expert. Therefore, it is necessary to stimulate developing computer skills in general, and especially the specifi c modes of using computer in the work of preschool psychologist.
