Man and the environment in the central Velebit area - Baške Oštarije and sorrundings

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to trace the human impact on the environment through the way of life, corresponding subsistence economy as well as to define the degree and the mode of change through time. The special account is given to the evaluation of optimal possibilities of sustainable development (mainly in tourism) and preservation through the geocological evaluation of the landscape embrancing the evaluation of few geomorphologic parameters an the aesthetic one. it has been based on the multivariate cluster and discriminant analisys.
