Abstract

The article gives an overview of organization and activity of Eurojust, former development of this judicial authority of the European Union, as well as its further development in the light of changes introduced by Lisbon Treaty. It describes former cooperation between Republic of Croatia and Eurojust in the context of integration of the Republic of Croatia into institutional structure of European Union, as well as simplification of extradition and mutual legal assistance proceedings. Furthermore, it describes legislative framework of national system of judicial cooperation in criminal matters with Member States of European Union and the role of Eurojust in forming of this system.
