Abstract

The worldwide outbreak of pandemic influenza A (H1N1 influenza) infection caused numerous hospitalizations and deaths resulting from severe complications such as sepsis, pneumonia, and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Severe myocarditis caused by H1N1 infection has been rarely reported in adults. We present a case of myocarditis mimicking acute coronary syndrome associated with H1N1 influenza A virus infection in a patient with previously undiagnosed pheochromocytoma.
