Abstract

The 7th Joint Conference of the Slovenian and Croatian Plastic
Industry organized by the Slovenian and Croatian Chambers of
Economy and PlasticsEurope, under the title Polymer Waste Management
was held at the Slovenian Chamber of Economy on 2nd October
2012. This Conference was well attended by the representatives
from the plastics and waste management companies, and from the
governmental and public organizations. Since both countries have
the same situation regarding the area of plastics waste management,
which is a low level of recycling and energy recovery of waste in
general, it was interesting to be informed about how these issues
are to be solved in the light of the necessity to achieve the goals
established by the European Commission in this field.
