Abstract
This paper deals with the life-cycle of paperboard as a packaging material. It describes raw materials and supplementary meterials which greatly influence on the quality of the final paperboard. Packaging is an important part of the product promotion, protection products and informing customers. Different types of paperboard packaging, from rigid boxes to folding boxes that built the surface demand certain paperboard qualities which are divided by their compound and final treatment. Paperboard packaging holds a high position on the packaging market in all areas of the economy since it revolutionized a safe distribution of all products, it is clean and high quality, and paperboard as a packaging material is ecologically acceptable and sustainable for the positive future.
