The 1784 Osijek elementary schools report

Abstract
The Report on Elementary schools in Osijek was presented
to Virovitica County General Assembly held in Osijek
on 24 June and in July 1784. The Report is a valuable
contribution to better knowledge of Osijek school system.
Thus it is an incentive for future research that will result in
answering the questions about their location, new and spatious
school buildings with a number of classrooms built
at that place. The names of a number of teachers who were
directly influencing the state of literacy and the level of the
spiritual life of the city have already been known.
