Abstract

The new highest water stages have been measured on the river Sava, upstream of Zagreb, at Radeče 879 cm, at Jesenice - Dolenjska 578 cm and at Podsused 675 cm. The water stages, on the river Sava in Zagreb and downstream of Zagreb, were much lower then the highest ones up to now. Such distibutionof characteristic water stages is caused by (partial) construction of hydrotehnical structural measures »Srednje Posavlje« which have changed the geographical – physical conditions of the runoff. Information systems in water management enable the collecting of relevant hydrometeorological data for the appropriate flood prediction and flood protection.
