Abstract

Determination of the occlusal plane and artificial teeth is crucial in clinical removable prosthodontics. The study was carried out on the lateral cephalometric radiographs of 80 dentulous patients with normal occlusion (basic sample). Ten variables were performed and the most essential were selected and a graphic presentation constructed on the basis of the correlation between them. The graphical "box" based on norms obtained in this research can be used for positioning of the occlusal plane and lower incisors in complete dentures in patients with various intermaxillary relationships, in order to make the denture as natural as possible, in harmony with the individual morphological characteristics of the orofacial region. The results were clinically tested during complete denture construction in 15 edentulous patients.
