Abstract
Dental status was analyzed in two groups o f female textile industry
workers according to the incidence and prevalence of caries, dental health care and prosthetic rehabilitation. There were no statistically significant differences in the values of analyzed parameters between the two groups of women.Person caries index was 100% in both groups, whereas the mean caries index was 100% in both groups, whereas the mean caries index was 19.6 and 16.5 teeth, dental caries index 61.9% and 53.5%, and dental health care index 45.9% and 49.3%. Less than 30% o f the total number of extracted teeth were replaced. Fixed prosthetic appliances were found to prevail in the treatment of missing teeth. Both groups had a high percentage of fixed prosthetic appliances in the intercanine sector.
