Demographical Structural Characteristics of Urban and Other Settlements in Croatia

Abstract
The age-sex structure of population in Croatia and changes in 1961-1981 was analysed. It showed a very fast ageing of the population in general, including the population of rural settlements, while the population of urban settlements showed a more favourable trend. The dichotomy within individual regions in Croatia was emphasised and the problems arising from it were pointed out.
