Town Bus Transport Network in Croatia and Its Role in the Development of the Surrounding

Abstract

The stages in development of the town bus-transport are described. Their typology was carried out on the basis of transport functions and structural characteristics. Three characteristic types of transport network were singled out: 1. Metropolitan network, 2. Complex town netvork and 3. Simple town network. The final part of the paper deals with influence of the transport networks on the development of the town-surrounding areas.
