Abstract

The authors describe age determination of an unidentified child on the basis of forensic dental analysis. The childs age was determined by forensic dental analysis of the first and second permanent lower molars, according to the amount of mineralized dental enamel, quality of occlusal cusps and length of roots. In additions clinical postmortem examination, photography, X-rays and dental anthropologic methods were used. This obtained data indicated the child to be aged 61 years at the time of death.
