Abstract

Oral health care should be extended at large scale to rural population, via primary health care. Preventive programs should be implemented where indicated. Free patient’s choice of dental doctors should be encouraged. Schools of dental medicine should be provided with full financial stability concerning education, research and transfer of advanced knowledge to practice. Theachieved progress in the fied of oral health should be maintained and further development enabled. In oral medicine, research should be focused on the causes and treatment of oral diseases. New technologies using laser, computerization, digital radiology, gene therapy, and new but more efficient drugs, should be employed.
