Abstract

The aim of this work is to show the changes in the retina in advancing age. The quality of sight deteriorates at advanced age even when there are no eye diseases. The changes in adjacent choroid, retinal
blood vessels and retina occur. Retinal pigment epithelium, ganglion cells and neuroepithelial cells deteriorate in particular. As all parts of the eye deteriorate with advancing age, aging of the retina also occurs. Many of the retinal functions decrease, reflecting on the quality of life.
