Abstract

Analysis of 32 cases showed thatpyogenic granuloma is a well circumscribed and relatively common lesion of the oral cavity. It grows rapidly and may ulcerate. Pyogenic granuloma occurs in individuals of all ages and both sexes. Recognition of this benignesion is important to avoid unnecessary patient alarm. Diagnosis of pyogenic granuloma is possible on the basis of dztration and rapidity of growth, but hystological features are the most important. Pyogenic granuloma will not recur if completely removed.
