Abstract
Various orthodontic anomalies as well as the sample of eugnathic occlusions were studied by roentgencephalometric method. The final task was to study the structure of the group of all defined variables and to select the factors — taxons, on the basis of which the skeletal types of the viscerocranium were to be defined. The X-rays of 436 examines, aged 10 to 18 years, of both sex were analized. A total of 38 variables were analized. By using multidimensional analytical model (taxonomic analysis) 10 taxons have been selected to define skeletal craniofacial types: posterior rotation of the mandibule with mandibular retrognathism, mandibular prognathism with cranial base flexion, clase II/2, posterior rotation of the mandibule, maxillary retrognathism with posterior rotation of the mandibule, domination of the sagittai growth of the cranial base and the both jaws, posterior rotation of the maxilla and maxillar dental prothrusion.
