Abstract

Insufficient application of sodium hypochlorite in clinical practice produces unfavourable effects on successful treatment. Therefore the author recommends obligatory application of this substance in the irrigation of root canals. The author points out its excellent qualities in dissolving organic substances, in mechanical irrigation of detritus, its antimicrobic effects and also noncorrosive effects on endodontic instruments in combination with 3% H2O2
