Abstract

The paper presents the results obtained by comparative studies of radiological and histopathological findings in 145 periapical lesions operated for diagnosis of radicular or residual cyst. The roentenological diagnosis of the cyst size was confirmed by histopathological findings in 73.1%. The results obtained indicate that the differential diagnostic of periapical lesions based only on X-rays is not entirely reliable.
