Prosthetic care in working population of Međimurje

Abstract

A sample of 4647 workers of Međimurje including 2310 females and 2337 males aged from 20—60 years was sistematically examined.
This paper presents a part of the results obtained by the study on prosthetic care and necessary reconstructions of insufficient teeth set in examined persons. The results show a rather high number of lost dental units which ih higher in females than in males. Prosthetic sanation of impaired teeth sets is insufficient in both sexes, although the incidence of kinds of prosthetic substitutes is significantly higher in females than in males.
