Abstract

The testing process for one type of universal coupling used as a means of fastening lightweight plates onto floors and facade walls is described. These couplings are anchored with steel bolts into concrete or masonry walls, or into concrete or semi-prefabricated floors structures. Various testing techniques and their results are presented for various load increments, in order to determine the bearing capacity of such couplings. This testing enabled definition of reference pullout forces that can be supported by universal couplings.
