Abstract

A short survey is given of the different materials used till now for the endodontic treatment of non vital teeth with incomplete root formation in order to achieve apical closure. Some details follow as to the structure of the calcified tissue at the apex after successful treatment. A detailed description is given of the mode of action of Biocalex and of its advantages. The course of treatment of two teeth out of a series of 50 non vital traumatized permanent teeth with incomplete root formation treated with Biocalex is described and the results are shown. Some remarks follow about the possibilities of such treatments and about the longevity of teeth treated in this manner.
