Abstract

In one hospital for chronic diseases of children the authors examinated teeth of children sick on phenylketonuria. Out of 15 children only two had carious lesions. This is far less than in the case of the remaining healthy and sick children. The authors suppose that this phenomenon is connected with the enlarged quantity of phenylalanin in the body of children with Phenylketonuria.
