Abstract

The new cobalt-based alloys are characterized by high resistance to
corrosion, fine granulation, and good molding and mechanical features. As a surface oxidation layer is formed during the treatment at high temperature, they appear to be the materiail of choice for individual manufacture of the over-cast attachment elements. It has been experimentally demonstrated that welding by melting can be avoided if the crown-attachment element is burnt at temperature of
950°C for more than 15 minutes and then cast into moulds heated to maximal temeprature of 750°C. The technology of casting-over provides the highest precision and resistance to wearing of the attachment elements made of cobalt-based alloys.
