Abstract

Attachment of a fixed -prosthetic structure is an important therapeutic
problem. Recently, more attempts have been made to solve the problem in the best possible way. In relation to this, the cements of higher but different adhesiveness have been developed. Presentation i's made of a study of a complex adhesiveness tension of some dental cements using a Hemer Sundwig dynamometer according to Eriksen. The study was carried out under laboratory conditions in time intervals of 1, 24, 48, 72 and 168 hours.By the final adhesive strength attained within 1 hour of testing, the Elite 100 cement was shown to be the optima1! type of cements. The Cegal and Harvard {fast-binding) specimens were also shown to rapidly achive the final strength of adhesiveness, followed by the Translit and Cetac types of cements.
