Value of gonial angle in situ and on an orthopantomogram

Abstract

Beside routine application of panoramic film in dental practise, it can be of use in gnatho-odontometrical analysis. Measurements of gonial angle from the orthopantomogram were compared with the values obtained through clinical calculation of the same angle. The results gained enabled us to compare left to right gonial angles and to establish the cause of asymetry of the lover part of the face. The results did not defer from values given by other authors affirmed through similar studies.
