Abstract

The paper is a result of the seven-day field research done in 2001 by the Croatian Ministry of Culture - Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage. That year the Research, Register and Documentation of Monuments referred to ethnological research of the island of Vis. The paper focuses on traditional ways of wine growing and making (which this island has been well-known for), but covers also other topics, such as traditional home furnishings, clothing, baker's ovens built of stone, as well as field stone shelters.
