Abstract

A modification of the Gillmore rider 'is described. The metal supports are placed on any kind of crown, providing all advantages of dental support with an increased esthetic apperance (avoidance of visible clasps). The method can be applied even if the number of remaining teeth be small, though then they have to be connected into a monolithic block. A possible overburdening is neutralized — in addition to the connecting — also by the possible traslative lowering of the saddle and the method of casting which provides for optimal adaptation of the saddle to the foundation.
