Abstract

This paper analyses the linguistic charactersitics in the poems of Niksa Krpetic, poet of Split. Collection Vrime recesje, gubi i batudi is his first collection of poems written on local speech. In article are analysed the characteristics typical for Chakavian dialect, but also Shtokavian characteristics which belong to the present local speech of Split. Current local speech of Split is substantially influenced by neighboring New-Shtokavian ikavian dialect, so in this paper we emphasize compound the permeation of Chakavian and Shtokavian system
