Abstract

Education in Competences
The article discusses education in competences, which can also be an interesting incentive in today's pastoral ministry. It is necessary to differentiate between competence and ability. A competent person knows how to confront new tasks. Educational activity aims to actualize, develop and expand the natural functions of the human being. Regarding competences, this includes the development, expansion overcoming of materialism. Contemporary pedagogy refers to the educational and cultural, working and professional, and social and personal scenarios as core educational competences. In the pastoral sense, education in competences means the education of the individual believer for responding creatively to new situations. In this sense, education for spiritual competence is important. Therefore, it is necessary to deepen that which is specifically human in order to accept and develop that which is evangelical, i.e., to educate and evangelize simultaneously. Knowledge of modern pedagogy and educational aids can be helpful.
