Abstract

The family is a hot topic in society and the Church's pastoral work. The author considers the family as a subject and object of pastoral action. Also the author observes the Church's mission (to proclaim and realize the kingdom of God) and the phases of the process of evangelization. Particular importance is given to the four evangelical symbols of Church ministry (Diakonia, koinonia, martyrdom and liturgy). The Church is manifested and realized through appropriate evangelical signs and thus pastoral work should also be an evangelical process. The Christian family is the privileged subject of pastoral activities, and also the subject of the Church’s pastoral care. The Christian community needs to motivate, monitor and assist the family so that it could carry out it’s mission. For this purpose, the article recalls some necessary tasks of family pastoral care.
