Abstract

The article discusses evangelization and the preaching of the gospel to young people today. For someone to be an evangelist, he must first be called and sent. For Christians, this also means to be with Jesus, to be his disciple and then apostle. Like the first disciples, today’s apostles are called to show Jesus to those who want to see him. They should walk together with young people in order to help them want to see Jesus and meet with them in the community of His disciples, the Church. The central place in evangelization belongs to the person of Jesus Christ. Evangelization, especially in the spirit of Don Bosco, also includes education. The evangelization of young people today is closely connected with the evangelization of the family. At the end of the article, the author stresses the importance of a change in mentality and the need for living a truly Christian life.
